Leading Families
Purpose: To provide fathers or father
figures with the skills and tools necessary to increase their effectiveness as
a parent and a spouse. Leading Families is a parenting program designed specifically
for men to help them learn the necessary tools for success with their children,
families, spouses or partners.
We
provide a curriculum lead group training that lasts 13 weeks, which includes a
workbook for fathers to work in each week, as well as snacks during each group session,
and child care during each session. The participants also receive a
certificate of completion upon graduating from the course.
Eligibility
- Cannot have an open CPS case
- Cannot have a substantiated CPS case in
the past
- Must be a voluntary participants (cannot be mandated)
We serve 14
counties including Archer, Baylor, Clay, Comanche, Eastland, Foard, Hardeman, Wichita, Stephens,
Shackelford, Wilbarger, Young, Jack and Montague counties. Participants must
live in one of these 14 counties.
