While we aim to make an impact across the country, we provide direct assistance to the 28-county Roman Catholic Diocese
of Fort Worth.
Our Mission is to provide service to those in need, to advocate compassion and justice in the structures of society, and to call all people of goodwill to do the same.
We are a service-driven organization determined to end poverty. We are giving it our all every day and looking at the issue from every angle to find a solution. We are taking a holistic approach and implementing bold initiatives to find the answers needed to make real change.
Our belief that every person’s story matters remains at the heart of everything we do.
We are rooted in Catholic teachings that say the poor have the moral claim on the conscience of the nation. We approach all of our work through prayer and our relationship with Christ to strengthen our purpose. We utilize every resource we have so we can serve our clients in the most effective and efficient way possible.
“Our goal is to use what we are creating and work in eradicating poverty to help others, to share our best practices, and to transform the conversation about poverty. We’re committed to advocating for change.”– Heather Reynolds, CEO
Every person has worth. Every person deserves to discover his or her full potential. Every person deserves access to basic necessities like nutrition, housing, education and health care.
We don’t just want people to subsist in poverty. We want people to move out of crisis and to a place where they can thrive. Ending poverty isn’t just something that will help those affected. It will impact everyone. The good of the person is directly connected to the good of all others.
It’s time to examine personal decisions, policies put in place by private and public institutions, and economic relationships to determine their effects on those in need. It’s time to change the system to give people a secure path out of poverty. It makes sense economically, it makes sense socially, and it makes sense morally to work towards a solution.
“An authentic faith – which is never comfortable or completely personal – always involves a deep desire to change the world, to transmit values, to leave this earth somehow better than we found it.” —Pope Francis
It’s time to take action. Let’s change the conversation
about poverty. Let’s inspire others to join our mission.
